Devotional Study Psalms 15
Psalms 15
A psalm of David.
Who may worship in your sanctuary, LORD?
Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
Those who refuse to gossip
or harm their neighbors
or speak evil of their friends.
Those who despise flagrant sinners,
and honor the faithful followers of the LORD,
and keep their promises even when it hurts.
Those who lend money without charging interest,
and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent.
Such people will stand firm forever.
Prayer: Father, please give me insight today on your Word. Help me to apply it to my life
and come closer to you. Take away my distractions and give me peace as I meditate on
You and your Word.
Meditation:
Lessons to Learn: You can only be in God’s presence if you are blameless.
Truths to Believe: Refuse to gossip. Speak truth from a sincere heart. Refuse to harm
your neighbor. Refuse to speak evil of your friends. Despise sinners. Honor the Faithful.
Keep your promises. Do not charge interest. Do not be bribed.
Sins to Confess: Gossip about people and situations. Complaining about Lemuel and his
mischief [breaking things in our house].
Application: [Make a decision to do something specific and check back tomorrow to see if
you have done it] I will refuse to gossip when other teachers are talking about their students.
I will speak hope into the situation.
Memorization: Who may worship in your sanctuary, LORD? Who may enter your
presence on your holy hill? Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
