Character Study Challenge Studying the lives of bible characters can be a great way to add method to the madness of bible study.  I will be reteaching a class on Bible Study Methods at my church starting next month and I love a good challenge.  As part of my personal bible study over the next few months, I want to learn about biblical characters and apply what I learn... so I say go big or go home.  I plan to do 133 biblical biographical character studies and we'll see how long that will take... posted here for your reading and commenting pleasure.  I've done many word studies in the past and am continuing to do so with my fruits of the spirit study .  I've also studied the biblical context of praise and worship songs in a 30 day challenge.   The most honest book in the Bible about a life that refuses to make sense — until it points, quietly, beyond itself. The book of Ecclesiastes stares unflinchingly at life's apparent meaninglessness "under the sun," only to land on a conclusion far sturdier than despair: fear God, enjoy His gifts, and trust what you cannot fully understand. Here's how the whole argument holds together. No book in Scripture sounds quite like Ecclesiastes. Its opening line is not praise, promise, or narrative — it is a groan: "Vanity of vanities! All is vanity" (Ecclesiastes 1:2). Eunice: Faithful in Obscurity, Fruitful for Eternity

Eunice is one of Scripture's most overlooked figures — a Jewish mother in a spiritually divided home who passed sincere faith to her son Timothy against considerable odds. Her story is a quiet rebuke to every believer who has wondered whether their faithfulness in small places actually matters. Two Verses, One Life, Immeasurable Influence Some figures in Scripture are given chapters. Others are given books. Eunice is given two verses and one direct mention of her name, and yet the ripple effect of her life reaches into every church that has ever been planted, every elder who has ever been ordained, every believer who has ever been encouraged by the pastoral letters of Paul. She is named once, in 2 Timothy 1:5, in a sentence Paul writes from a Roman prison to the young man he called his true child in the faith.
